Das echte Qin wird normalerweise Guqin (Altes Qin) oder Qixianqin (Sieben Saiten Qin) genannt. Historiker sagen, daß das Qin unverändert blieb seit die Zhou Kaiser vor fast 3000 Jahren, den bis dahin fünf Saiten zwei neue hinzufügten. Das älteste uns bekannte Qin (ausgegraben in den 1970ern), wurde vor 2500 Jahren gebaut. Die Qins, die in den Jahrhunderten der Tang, Song oder Ming Dynastie gebaut wurden, werden noch heute von berühmten Qin Meistern gespielt. Die Lei Familie aus der Provinz Sichuan prägte während der Tang Dynastie das goldene Zeitalter des Qin-Bauens. |
